CLIENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (CAP)
Sometimes individuals with disabilities can get lost or overwhelmed while trying to work with the Department of Rehabilitation to obtain needed vocational services. The Client Assistance Program (CAP) advises individuals with disabilities about the services available from the Department of Rehabilitation and assists them in their relationship with those programs. This includes the pursuit of legal, administrative, and other remedies to ensure the protection of the disabled consumers rights. CAP investigates the consumer's problem, informs the consumer of their rights, assists the consumer in negotiating a mutually acceptable solution, represents the consumer in reviews and hearings, and helps consumers plan appeals and possible legal action.
